Lecture by Getrud van Loon on the research project (B-4-6) Dayr Anba Hadra which investigates a medieval monastry on the West Bank of Aswan with regard to its paintings. An important aspect within these researches lies in the dependancies of the iconographical programme and functions of space.

Gertrud van Loon is a a senior fellow at Topoi and a scholar from KU Leuven, Belgium who studies the iconography of Coptic wall paintings.
